Summary: Some chains can never be broken
Author’s Note: Entry for the challenge, I think number 27? Pretty sure. Prompt 012 Chains Heechul/Kangin. To clarify they are not in a abusive relationship but a D/s one. I thought about going farther but kept it short.
On the outside, he wore a calm face, uncaring. On the inside he shook with fear of what he knew was coming. The others crowded around him, worry still etched in their faces, relief in their voices that he was okay. He hated that he was such a klutz. He hated what he knew was coming. Those around him didn’t realize the more they fussed, the worse they were making things for him.
“Go away,” he pleaded in his head. On the outside he smirked and shrugged it off. He had been careless. Hadn’t meant to be and in the process had been hurt.
And him being hurt he had worried and probably gotten scared. Heechul had learned very early to not to anything to set him off. The problem was everything set him off. An interviewer smiling too nicely at him while asking questions he didn’t like. Someone he didn’t know standing too close. Heechul being too coy with someone. Yet nothing set him off like Heechul getting hurt, especially when it was his fault.
It had gotten worse after his car accident. Some days he wanted to break free of him. But knew he wasn’t going anywhere. They were chained together, had been from the start. The chains were unbreakable. Worried, he lightly stroked the neck of his shirt. He could feel the metal collar through it. Once someone had seen it and asked him about it. Heechul had paid dearly for that.
Later that night he stood outside their door, excitement and fear building in him. He knocked and waited for permission to enter. When he stepped inside the room he immediately tried to plead his case.
“I said you could enter but I did not give you permission to speak.”
Heechul gulped. He was pissed.
“Close the door behind you.”
Heechul did as ordered. He hated the chains that kept them together, yet his loved them dearly as well. He flipped the lock. He didn’t want his punishment interrupted.
